Welcome! I'm so glad you came here!
With a tremendous passion for pregnancy, birth, and parenthood, I am stellar support to the families I serve. My husband and I are originally from Arizona. We've called colorful Colorado our home since 2006. We have three wonderful children. After the births of my two daughters, who were each born by unplanned cesareans, I realized the importance of knowing what options are available during pregnancy and birth, even during a cesarean. We wanted our third baby's birth to be different. I wanted to better understand the capabilities of the female body. After much research, preparation, and support, we welcomed our baby boy in the peace and quietness of our home attended by midwives. It was a powerful, miraculous, and healing experience for us. This led me to be very passionate about supporting families during pregnancy and birth, especially those who are planning a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). My passion and personal experience put me well on my way toward making birth work my profession. It brings me great joy to support women and their families in this sacred and special adventure. I started my training for becoming a professional doula in the spring of 2014 and received my certification in October of 2015 from Childbirth International. I'm here to help put the power in the hands of families and help families feel calm and confident when bringing their baby into the world. I am currently a member of the Northern Colorado Doula Association (NCDA) and a member of the Colorado Doula Association. I served on the board of the NCDA as Secretary for 2016. I am currently training to be an International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) Chapter Leader and am working to open the first ICAN chapter in Northern Colorado in Spring 2017.
